The Story of Carrie

The One & Only reason that I’m alive today is because of He who died for me

Carrie has always been timid, unforgiving, bitter and selfish girl. Since young, she has always been a Christian. She knows who Jesus and God is, she knows the story of Jesus. But she didn’t know who God really is and He’s always been a stranger to Carrie. Weird as it is, Carrie has been to a Chinese Sunday school and she didn’t understand Chinese language that well and didn’t know how to read Chinese words. She’d been there for about 6 years, but still she never knew truly who Jesus is!

Carrie often come to church only when she felt insecure and need peace. She knew that there was something about church and God- it gives her comfort and peace. When Carrie was primary 6, every night before she went to sleep, she always prayed that God would bring her to a suitable church where she can grow well. For about 3 years, Carrie have been attending 2 churches- one is the church that his brother attend to, another one is her elder sister attend to. However Carrie still felt that both are not the suitable church.

When she was Form 3, God began to answer Carrie’s prayer. Surely God is faithful! With a divine connection, God uses 3 friends from Eklektos church to bring her to that suitable church which she has been waiting for the past 3 years. Slowly Carrie began to grow a lot in this church and she met God personally in her life. She no longer knew God through her brain, she knew God through her heart.

Carrie’s life has change ever since that day she encountered God’s love. She no longer afraid of dark, no longer unforgiving, no longer timid and her life changed so much! God became so real in her life that she knows she can’t live without Him. She became active in church and there's so much more that she needs to grow. With God in her life, she knows that life will never be the same. It'll be great and amazing!

I will ever testify Your greatness and love in my life, O Lord!
