My Desire by Jeremy Camp
You want to be real, you want to be empty inside
You want to be someone laying down your pride
You want to be someone someday
Then lay it all down before the king
You want to be whole, you want to have purpose inside
You want to have virtue and purify your mind
You want to be set free today
Then lay it all down before the king
This is my desire, this is my return
This is my desire to be used by you
You want to be real, you want to be empty inside
And I know my heart is to feel you near
And I know my life
It's to do your will
It's to do your will
All my life I have seen
Where you've take me
Beyond all I have hoped
And there's more left unseen
There's not much I can do to repay all you've done
So I give my hands to use
This song trully speaks what I'm feeling all this time. My desire is to do His will. My food is to do His will. No wonder I feel so empty inside lately..
But this morning when I do my devotion. I tried to spend time in praying and listen to Him. I believe that He spoke to me about loving Him with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. Oww Ok,God. And then when I went to the RBC website to do my devotion. it talks about Mark 12:31('love your neighbour as yourself,'). I was like 'wow! God, you're really speaking to me'. Ok... so I read through the words in the website. you know, sometime it's scary to listen to what God wants me to do. I guess because I'm afraid that God wants me to do things that I don't really want to do.. You Hear, You obey.. I will learn to listen to Him. After all, my purpose is to do His will, not mine.. :)
Our love for God is displayed by the way we love our neighbour. I love God and I know that we love God too. But does God feel loved by us if we only lives our life for ourself. Imagine if someone that you really love doesn't show to you his or her love for you. Wouldn't that make you sad. I know I did that a lot of time to God. I didn't really see Him as person whom I really loves. Sometimes, He's like a waiter to me. I come to Him just to order food from Him. This relationship is just like a customer and a waiter.
I want to be driven by what drives Christ, and be committed to what He is committed to—the needs of people.
